Since 2013, MIRopes and SMIRC have been reaching out to the marginalized kink community to offer educational experiences that broaden understanding and support to the thoughtful implementation of human interactions in and around kink exploration.

These efforts focus on key elements such as the language of consent and partner communication; humans as physical and emotional beings; and the skill sets needed to effectively utilize the many forms of tactile and mental stimulation found within kink practices.

To achieve the goal of broadening our own knowledge bases, we have spent our adult years learning what it truly means to educate another human being. This has included diving fully into the many kinks that interest us personally, as well as those requested by others, and honing in on the nuances that make human interactions more meaningful and impactful. As well as joining forces with valuable guides such as the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom.

Through this ongoing depth of immersion, we have provided countless classes across the state of Michigan and into Ohio, and have organized a long-running annual convention that showcases some of the country’s and world's finest kink educators and pioneers.
